“Loving people and all conditions of life was always my motto–as a human being and image maker. I make images to bring awareness to the masses, meaning that I photograph mankind around planet Earth in their natural habitats to show how they live and function to stay alive. For this part of the world (USA) to understand and feel the Life Of Others, stop killing people and stealing their food resources in the name of democracy. Red is the color of blood and I do see a lot of blood on this planet. I add other elements to my images to SHOW a broken narrative so the viewer can make up his or her own story. If you think they are beautiful, I invite you to stay a little longer with the image, not to rush it. To tell you the truth, I am not a cultural messenger––maybe one day but not now. Nor am I a master of photography. Ii am just a simple artist trying make change. When I was a young student, I lived in small villages in Iran for two years. Since i was coming from the middle class, their poverty and hard work amazed me and many times brought tears to my eyes. Since then, I want to make a difference. Today, after all those years, that experience is still with me. I am not telling a story, rather showing it.”
